A versatile mechanical belay device with cam assisted braking and first ever, optional attachment directly to belay loop. Direct attachment to belay eliminates the risk of cross loading, as it eliminates the carabiner from the belayers system. It also orients the device closer to the belayer’s body and adds significant control to all aspects of belaying, including increasing the belayer’s ability to pay out rope when lead climbing by an estimated 4” to 7”, while also shortening the distance a lead climber falls by an 8” to 14”.
